It all came from an idea. For the event of Amadora BD Cosplay contest, Carlos Pedro (Super Pig #1, #2, #4 artist) invited me to what would be a training for the hand with the purpose of promoting Kingpin Books. Who bought something on the stand also won a free drawing of a manga character. In spite of all my fears due to my inexperience, I couldn’t refuse such a delicious challenge. Unfortunately I had not the clearness of mind to bring a camera to photograph the drawings I gave (can not complain, I had already decided I should be more unattached to my drawings. It was sudden, but for my surprise it didn’t hurt). I’m glad we were two, there were so many people! Tree and a half hour of non-stop drawing was enough to shake me (witch I needed from some time).
In the nerve wrecking days that preceded the event, I decided to train, and I made these two pages. The second one was kidnapped from me by the (among many other titles) Inker Mário Freitas. Sketches are irresistible to him, and in his inker impulse he asked me – “Can I ink your drawings?” To deny it was as if denying a candy to a child, it was very amusing, as you can see his impulse was further for he couldn’t resist Carlos Pedro watercolours (besides inking, Carlos also water-coloured his drawings!). This was the final outcome, not bad at all, for someone who is not used to this kind of material (very hard to handle)!
E então? Quantos desenhos fizeste?
